「火の力でカタチに残す」

赤城山の山中に不可治窯を築窯してから45年。
繊細でありながら、揺るがぬ芯をもつ造形。
薪作り、轆轤、窯焚きを繰り返し、
南蛮、三島手、粉引、灰釉と真摯に向き合ってきました。

一週間ほど続く窯焚きでは、
独り火の前に立ち、
土と火のわずかな変化に耳を澄ませます。

火と土に鍛えられた、質実剛健の手の仕事。
使い手の時間を受け止めながら、
暮らしのなかで、ゆっくりと息づいていきます。


“Shaped and Endured by the Power of Fire”

For 45 years since building Fukaji Kiln deep in the mountains of Akagi,
these works have taken form through an unwavering dialogue with fire.

Delicate in appearance, yet grounded by an unshakable core.
Through the repeated cycles of preparing firewood,
working at the wheel, and firing the kiln,
the maker has engaged sincerely with Namban, Mishima, Kohiki, and ash glazes.

During each firing—lasting about a week—
he stands alone before the flames,
listening closely to the subtle shifts of earth and fire.

Works of the hand, honed by fire and soil—
honest, resilient, and enduring.
As they receive the time of their users,
the vessels slowly come to life within everyday living.
