“we are atoms”は、万物が同じ最小単位から成り立つ
という思索から生まれたシリーズです。

原子の配列のように、ランダムに刻まれる細かな彫り模様には、
人が世界とどれだけ誠実に向き合えるのかという
静かな問いが流れています。

その姿勢は、
自然の力や生命の連なりを文様に託してきた
古来の装飾の在り方にも重なります。

富井さんの仕事は、
素材に向けるまなざしの純度をそのまま残し、
私たちが同じ根源を分かち合う存在であることを
そっと示してくれています。


“We are atoms” is a series born from the idea that all things are composed of the same smallest units.

Like the arrangement of atoms, the finely carved, randomly etched patterns carry a quiet question:
How sincerely can we face the world?

This attitude resonates with the ancient approach to ornamentation,
in which the forces of nature and the continuity of life were entrusted to patterns.

Tomii’s work preserves the purity of his gaze toward the material,
gently reminding us that we, too, share the same fundamental origin.
